NSW Government announces buy.nsw

We’re excited to announce one of our key sponsors, the NSW Government, will be launching a new procurement platform on 31 May 2018.

Speaking at this year’s CeBIT Australia conference, Victor Dominello, Minister for Finance, Services and Property, NSW Government, said:

“Our goal for buy.nsw is for it to be the first single government platform for all procurement.”

About buy.nsw

The long term vision for buy.nsw is a single government platform for all procurement. As an agile development, buy.nsw will begin with ICT procurement, specifically cloud products and services.

From 31 May 2018 it will bring together NSW buyers and cloud providers through an Australian government platform for the first time. Buyers will have access to cloud software, support, infrastructure and hosting services from the pre-existing ICT services scheme, which means a variety of cloud products and services available from day one. At launch, sellers of cloud products and services who are new to working with NSW Government can also onboard.

In the coming months buy.nsw will expand to include more digital and technology products and services.

Over time, more buying pathways will be added to buy.nsw in order to progress towards the vision of a single platform for all procurement.

Created by the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, buy.nsw will officially launch on 31 May 2018. To make sure your organisation is a part of buy.nsw from the start, register your interest as a buyer or seller now at buy.nsw.gov.au.
